The Tamiya Mercedes-Benz Unimog 406 CC-02 1/10 4WD Scale Truck Kit (47465) is a Limited Edition release of the iconic Unimog 406 Series U900. This version features the same rugged design and high-performance CC-02 chassis as the original, but comes with a clear polycarbonate body ready for custom paint — allowing builders to finish their Unimog in any color scheme they choose.
The Mercedes-Benz Unimog 406, known for its all-terrain versatility and reliability, takes its name from the German “Universal-Motor-Gerät,” meaning universal motorized machine. The full-size Unimog 406 could be fitted with more than 3,000 attachments for agricultural, industrial, and rescue applications. Tamiya has accurately recreated this multi-purpose vehicle with incredible scale detail and trail-ready performance.
CC-02 Chassis – Off-Road, Evolved
Built for serious off-road use, the CC-02 chassis features a ladder-frame design inspired by real 4x4 vehicles for maximum durability and strength.
The 4WD drivetrain places the motor longitudinally behind the front axle and transmits power through a separate gearbox and transfer case, with propeller shafts driving both front and rear differentials.
Its four-link rigid suspension and CVA oil-filled dampers ensure smooth articulation and excellent traction on uneven terrain, making it capable of tackling rocks, trails, and dirt paths with ease.
