At the 1987 Electric Off-Road World Championship, the Optima Mid prototype shocked the racing world by claiming 5 out of 10 A-Main positions. The production Mid quickly became a global bestseller — and in 1988, Kyosho introduced the Turbo Optima Mid Special as the series’ final and most capable form. Its extended wheelbase, reworked chassis, reinforced drive system, and new body made it a tuning masterpiece.
